Reverend Michael B. Price, I is the senior pastor of Saint James African Methodist Episcopal Church of Progress Village which is situated just ten miles southeast of downtown Tampa in Hillsborough County, Florida.
Reverend Price is an anointed man of God who pastors, preaches and teaches the Word of God with a biblical insight which empowers him to proclaim with passion and clarity that the path to redemption and salvation lies in an unyielding and uncompromising faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He is an energetic pastor who has been blessed by God with a vision that foretells of the growth and development of Saint James.
His ministerial journey began in 1992 when he recommitted his life to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; and, in the following year, he humbly accepted his calling to pastor, preach and teach. Reverend Price received the Honor of Ordination as an Itinerant Elder in August, 1998 at the Florida Annual Conference. Subsequent to receiving his ordination, Reverend Price was blessed to receive pastoral privileges in the State of Florida which included Mount Olive A.M.E. Church of Micossukee; Ball Chapel A.M.E. Church of Saint Cloud; New Bethel A.M.E. Church of Sanford; and, Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church of New Smyrna Beach.
Born in Havana, Florida, to the union of Lee (deceased) and Mary Lee Price, Reverend Price graduated from Havana Northside High School in 1989. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida , which credentialed him to serve a stint as both an elementary and middle school teacher. Later, he entered the Asbury Theological Seminary and earned a Masters of Divinity Degree.
Reverend Price is privileged to be the husband of Seleste Brown Price, a pharmacist; and, they are the proud parents of Michael B. Price, II, Stephanie B. Price, and Matthew B. Price.
